Houdini Plaza marks the center of College Avenue. It’s on the main street of Downtown Appleton and the center hub of Mile of Music. The fountain at Houdini Plaza, on the corner of College Avenue and Appleton Street, boasts a beautiful floral accompaniment and a colorful illumination display at night, making this a perfect Downtown photo landmark.
A winding stone staircase beckons Mile 3 attendees to the vast green-space of Jones Park, located under the Oneida Skyline Bridge. The park is accessible from Lawrence Street behind the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. This main stage venue is hosting some of the festival’s loved bands, including Swear & Shake and Cory Chisel & the Wandering Sons.
Be sure to check out the one of a kind (and brand new) Art Alley near the History Museum at the Castle and snap a photo with the local artwork and the new mural. This hidden gem of downtown Appleton is a feature that you don’t want to miss and it will be fresh and new for Mile 3!
