Get to Know Your Encore Eve Bands!

Ready or not, here comes 2016! Celebrating the new year is always a blast, especially when it involves great, original music.

Get to know the four Mile 3 bands returning to Appleton to rock in 2016 with us!

Me Like Bees: This indie/alternative rock band from Joplin, Missouri turns influences from bands like Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire and The White Stripes into their own sound. Each band member brings their own creativity into seamless collaboration, and the group became an instant hit at Mile 3. They even had some pretty nice things to say about Mile of Music, stating we “have great beer and even greater people”.

Motherfolk: This Cincinnati-based indie rock/folk rock group started as a hobby between two college friends back in 2013. Since then, the group has added members and released an album while touring the country extensively, including a few trips to Northeast Wisconsin.

Los Colognes: These Nashville-based two-time Mile of Music alumni were just named to Apple’s 2015 ‘Best of Americana’ list, so need we say more? Los Colognes comes back to Appleton with their new album, Dos, which was released in September 2015. The band has seen successes in many unconventional ways, including a Rob Thomas shout out on Twitter and airplay at Starbucks locations across the nation.

Cool Waters Band: A staple in the Fox Valley, Cool Waters Band is a roots rock group. Their high-energy performances make for a perfect NYE party addition who is sure to keep the celebration rockin’ and put a smile on your face.

Rolling Stones Jam: As festival co-founder Cory Chisel says, this Mile 3 Music-Maker exclusive jam was so fun, we couldn’t just do it once! Hosted by Cory Chisel & Adriel Denae, the jam back for round two, featuring a variety of singers, songwriters and friends paying tribute to the legendary rockers. It has certainly been “The Stones’” year, so what better way to countdown to midnight than with this jam?

What: A New Year’s Eve party and Mile 3 encore, featuring the artists listed above, plus a coffee & chocolate lounge, prizes and more!

When: December 31, 2015 into 2016. Music goes from 7:45 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Where: Radisson Paper Valley Hotel, Downtown Appleton

Cost: Music-only tickets are just $25 + sales tax. Looking to make a night of it? Room & entertainment packages and room, buffet-style dinner & entertainment packages are available through the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. Rates vary.

Is this event for 21 years of age and older? Will there be adult beverages availalbe at this event?

  Hi Jeff. The event is for those 21+ and there will be adult beverages available in the ballroom. If you have already registered or are planning to register someone under the age of 21, let us know and we can make arrangements.
