The Record Company is riding a wave of national airplay and critical acclaim for its first full-length album, “Give It Back To You,” featuring the single, “Off The Ground,” which opened the summer atop the Billboard Triple A National Airplay chart, in front of The Lumineers, The Avett Brothers and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The album was released in February on Concord Records. The band wowed a Houdini Plaza crowd at the second Mile of Music festival in August of 2014, then followed that with a rousing set in November of that year as the opener for The Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Rocks! Tour at the Fox Cities PAC. The trio received a standing ovation following their warm-up set prior to that popular holiday show.
“Making bluesy music that would sound more at home in a sweaty, backwoods Mississippi juke joint” is the way LA Weekly described the rock/roots trio, which consists of Chris Vos (guitar, lead vocals, harmonica), Alex Stiff (bass, guitar, vocals) and Marc Cazorla (drums, piano, vocals). Vos is a Wisconsinite who grew up on a dairy farm in Burlington, Wisconsin, so the visit to the Fox Cities marks a return to his home state.
