Mile 4 By The Numbers

Posted Sep 21, 2016
Blog

Nearly one month after Mile 4, we continue to receive words of gratitude from artists, festival attendees, sponsors, volunteers and supporters of all kinds. We are fortunate to hear stories and memories of the Mile experience from folks not just in Northeast Wisconsin, but from all around the country (and even the world)!

This past August, Mile of Music brought an estimated 60,000 music-lovers to Downtown Appleton for four days of 900 rockin’ sets performed by 240 original music artists. Attendees packed 70 venues throughout Downtown Appleton from start to finish that weekend, creating an estimated economic impact of $3,000,000 for the local economy. In terms of comparing to other Mile of Music festivals, Mile 4 generated the largest impact across the board, with the most performances, participating venues, attendees and estimated economic impact to date.

Thank you to everyone who made this year’s festival possible. We can’t say thank you enough!

See you for Mile 5, August 3-6, 2017!
