After two memorable performances in Appleton in 2014, Los Angeles-based rock/roots trio The Record Company are making a much-anticipated return to the Fox Cities as part of their national Off The Ground Tour with a Mile Productions concert set for Tanners Grill & Bar in Kimberly on Saturday, Oct. 8.

The concert, presented by 96.9 The Fox with support from Tundraland Home Improvements and One Barrel Brewing Company, will begin at 8 p.m. with fellow Mile of Music alum Trapper Schoepp & The Shades of Milwaukee filling the opening act slot. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The Post-Crescent, Local 5 WFRV-TV and Tanners Grill & Bar are contributing sponsors.

Who: The Record Company with opening act Trapper Schoepp & The Shades
When: Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Where: Tanners Grill & Bar, 730 S. Railroad, Kimberly, WI
Note: THIS IS A 21+ SHOW!

The Record Company is riding a wave of national airplay and critical acclaim for its first full-length album, “Give It Back To You,” featuring the single, “Off The Ground,” which opened the summer atop the Billboard Triple A National Airplay chart, in front of The Lumineers, The Avett Brothers and Red Hot Chili Peppers.  The album was released in February on Concord Records. The band wowed a Houdini Plaza crowd at the second Mile of Music festival in August of 2014, then followed that with a rousing set in November of that year as the opener for The Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Rocks! Tour at the Fox Cities PAC. The trio received a standing ovation following their warm-up set prior to that popular holiday show.

“Making bluesy music that would sound more at home in a sweaty, backwoods Mississippi juke joint” is the way LA Weekly described the rock/roots trio, which consists of Chris Vos (guitar, lead vocals, harmonica), Alex Stiff (bass, guitar, vocals) and Marc Cazorla (drums, piano, vocals). Vos is a Wisconsinite who grew up on a dairy farm in Burlington, Wisconsin, so the visit to the Fox Cities marks a return to his home state.
