Become a Mile 5 Volunteer!

Music-loving, hard-working, fun and energetic people…keep reading! We are now in search of passionate volunteers to help us make the music happen at Mile 5. Whether you’ve volunteered before or not, there are a few new (and exciting) things for us to share.

In just two months, more than 230 original artists will take Downtown Appleton by storm to play more than 900 sets in 70+ venues over the four days. There will be a lot going on Downtown, and we’re looking for people like YOU to volunteer for Mile of Music August 3-6!

New for 2017

• Volunteers can schedule their own shifts through our new page on Volunteer Local! No more applying and waiting for your shift assignment from us before the festival. You can select how many shifts you want to work, when and even where!
• Mile 5 Volunteers will be invited to an exclusive “Volunteer Thank You” party to take place after the festival wraps up. More details on this event will come with the successful completion of your volunteer shift(s)!
• Various shifts are available for the entire Mile Week (July 31-August 6)! If you are interested in helping out before July 31, please email [email protected]. We’d love to have you!

Spread the word! Tell your family, friends and colleagues to sign up and volunteer with you! Most volunteer shifts are 4 to 5 hours in length. Each volunteer will be provided with a special identification badge and an exclusive t-shirt to wear while they are working to note their important role with the festival.

How To Sign Up

• CLICK HERE to begin registration.
• Select your preferred shift
  • Jobs can be filtered here by the following: job, location, date and calendar. Want to change the way it’s displayed? Check the navigation tool in the upper right-hand corner!
• Check off which shift(s) and job(s) you are interested in & fill out the required registration information
  • PLEASE NOTE: In the right hand section of each shift, you’ll notice how many spots are open. If a specific shift is closed, try checking for a similar shift at a different venue!
• Click “Complete Registration Here” to confirm your registration. You should receive an email immediately to the email address you provided.

Note: We will be adding and updating shifts up until the festival. The time listed on your shift may not be final. We will notify you of any changes. If you are looking to volunteer with someone, look for positions with 2+ spots available. You will need to register separately so we have the proper contact info and t-shirt size.
