Weather Changes: August 8
Posted Aug 8, 2021
August 8 – 4:22pm:
Hello Mile of Music Community! The Mile of Music Team has made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s final set, A Song Before We Go, as a precaution. Thunderstorms are predicted to reach us during the timeframe of the show.
Thank you for your support & understanding this weekend with these weather issues. We know A Song Before We Go has become a great tradition for so many of us but after conferring with artists, the production team and weather advisors, we just don’t feel it’s the safest call to put people into Jones Park at a time when there may be severe weather entering.
A Song Before We Go will return to the Lawrence Chapel in 2022 as the closing event for Mile 9!
We’ll be posting again soon about the festival, but we want to again thank you for having helped bring the groove back with Mile 8 in Downtown Appleton.
August 8 – 10:50am:
Good morning Mile Fans! It’s a new day and we’re excited to announce that Sunday’s schedule will kick off at all venues as scheduled. Our partners at Storm Team 5 are watching the possibility of some late afternoon showers, but we are going to take advantage of the break Mother Nature’s given us and the fire up the music!
We will be shortening breaks in between sets in hopes of getting you as much music as possible so please arrive early as start times may differ slightly. We will continue to watch the skies and provide updates but for now – let the Good Vibes roll!
