Update as of 4:15pm: Outdoor venues continue at this time at the discretion of the artists and sound techs.
Here are the schedule changes for the Hilton Ballroom today, August 7th:
Update as of 12:30: We are adding Jim’s Place/Wooden Nickel to the list of venues that will NOT be operating. Thank you for understanding!
Another update (as of 11:05am):
After our assessment of each venue, it’s clear the storm took its toll on Day 4.
The following outdoor venues WILL be able to operate today as planned at this time: Stone Arch (will move inside), Lawrence Lawn Main Stage, McFleshman’s, D2 Sports Pub, Emmett’s, Jim’s Place/Wooden Nickel.
The following stages will NOT be able to operate today based on various factors and impact from the storm: Jones Park, Houdini Plaza, Fox River House, Spats, Riverside, Hilton Courtyard, Rookie’s.
All indoor venues will operate as planned.
This is all subject to change, so we appreciate your patience. Added to the uncertainty is today’s weather forecast, which is also somewhat uncertain. We will be monitoring that and updating.
10:00am – August 7: The storm was not friendly to Mile 9. The outside venues all received some sort of damage or disruption from the heavy winds and sideways rain. Right now it looks like a variety of issues, from little things to big things. Our team is making their way around assessing each stage individually. We will be posting regular updates over the next 2-3 hours.
All Music Education has Been Moved: All Music Education events have been moved to Lawrence University Conservatory 163.
