Chicago-based singer-songwriter Jessica Mindrum combines elements of indie folk and slowcore in her melodic storytelling. Her voice complements her guitar’s reverb as it is soft and easy on the ears. She confronts existential crises, heartache and loneliness through deeply honest lyricism. Mindrum doesn’t hold back when posing questions rooted in the human condition which encourages listeners to do the same. Her songs ring like endless thoughts that hover across our minds, but she dresses them up and puts a tune to the sadness.
