Kristen Castro (Formerly of Maybe April)

Nashville, TN

Debuting her indie music at Mile 7, Kristen Castro will share her new work when she takes the stage at the festival. A heavy metal player since age 10, Kristen is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer that gravitated to country music when she performed with Keith Urban in 2010 as part of the Recording Academy’s GRAMMY Camp. In 2013, she moved from California to Nashville as one of the founding members of the Americana/Country trio Maybe April and performed with the band until 2019. Through the GRAMMY programs, Kristen has worked with will.i.am and Brandie Carlile and she’s shared stages with Bonnie Raitt, Kris Kristofferson and Valerie Simpson. Her current single, “Fool For You,” features Matt Bissonette (Elton John, Ringo Starr) and Sergio Gonzalez (KebMo, Jennifer Lopez). Kristen has formed long-term, 10+-year partnerships with Taylor Guitars, Elixir Strings and Timber Tones. For more information, visit www.kristencastro.com.
