No No Yeah Okay

Milwaukee, WI

The Milwaukee-based genre melting pot, No No Yeah Okay, took form in 2014 when Mark Gage (producer) and Christopher Quasius (guitar) began casually writing between weekend beers. As their library of sounds grew, they sought out friends Colin Plant (vocals) and Joshua Paynter (bass) to help turn these samples into structured arrangements with additional depth. Their goal was to combine four unique musical backgrounds into a cohesive whole. The resulting sound has incorporated everything from EDM to hip-hop and post-punk into something truly original.

Since 2015, the band has aligned with the Los Angeles Little Assembly label and released two projects, "Dual" and "Cabal," and has won accolades including several nominations and awards from Milwaukee's 88Nine, and a feature in Spotify's New Music Friday playlist. No No Yeah Okay has also played high-profile gigs like multiple large stage appearances at Summerfest and a Bucks halftime show.

Most recently, the band is coming off the release of a new single, "Changes,” which shows a more mature and sophisticated approach to the group’s music. "Changes" is now available on all major streaming platforms. The band members described the song in their own words: "Getting older often comes with negative connotations and it doesn’t have to. There are so many changes in our lives that inspire celebration and we just wanted to promote looking at them in a healthy and optimistic way."
