Sprig of That

Alternative Rock

Sprig of That is a tabla, violin, and guitar trio performing original progressive folk music occupying a space somewhere between Northern European fiddle styles, modern American string music, and the “indie classical” contemporary classical music. Since forming in 2018, they've toured the country, playing legendary venues from the Cedar Cultural Center to Rockwood Music Hall, opening for national acts like Charlie Parr, and working with hundreds of k-12 and college students. In 2021, they recorded their debut album with producer Wes Corbett (Sam Bush, Joy Kill Sorrow) and engineer Dave Sinko (Punch Brothers, Bela Fleck), to be released fall 2022.
