The Housing Partnership of the Fox Cities and Mile of Music have teamed up for a new community-focused concert event during Mile of Music’s “Mile Week”, which runs July 31-August 6. The event, entitled “Home: Community Concert”, is sponsored by Community First Credit Union and celebrates the Housing Partnership’s 30th Anniversary of providing housing services in the Fox Cities. “Home: Community Concert” features popular Mile of Music artist Jamie Kent.
The concert event takes place August 1 at the OuterEdge Stage in downtown Appleton. Limited standing room attendance is available to community members on a first-come, first-served basis at the door. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show. Beverages will be available for sale at the event, with proceeds benefitting the Housing Partnership of the Fox Cities.
Jamie Kent’s trio, from Nashville, will be joined by Ryan Hommel of Northampton, MA as they both kick off their Mile Week stay at the “Home” concert. Though neither artist resides in Wisconsin, both have embraced Appleton as a ‘home’ when it comes to performing, returning to the area outside of Mile of Music festivals to perform for music fans.
This is a limited capacity, standing room only event with space available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Home: Community Concert is free to all, with a suggested donation of $10 which can be donated to the Housing Partnership at the event or online at housing-partnership.org/donate. Food trucks will be available outside with food for purchase, and Stone Arch will have beverages for sale inside, with proceeds benefiting the Housing Partnership. (Must be 21+ to drink. Please bring a valid ID.)
Kick off your Mile Week with good company and great music, all supporting a local organization!
