Holly Nixon, a musician, songwriter and producer from El Paso, Texas, began playing music professionally after a decade-long career as a non-profit administrator. In a little over three years, she completed three successful crowdfunding campaigns and toured throughout the U.S. and Europe, collaborating with John Vanderslice and Keren Ann as well as members of Wilco, Low, The Raconteurs, Nada Surf and The Bangles. She recently produced a debut album for Ambassadors of Culture, a grant-funded Afropop project through the Minnesota State Arts Board with Somali wedding singer, Dalmar Yare. Nixon is currently working on her fourth solo album, a collection of (arguably) obscure covers called, “If It Wasn't For Second Chances, We Would All Be Alone.”.
