Concerts in the Courtyard, presented by Bayland Buildings, follows a successful inaugural launch last year with a return to the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel for live original music every Wednesday, beginning June 1 with a high-energy kick-off from rhythm and soul band, J-Council.
This weekly series in The Courtyard showcases up-and-coming bands and singer-songwriters from music hotbeds throughout the country, with local and regional artists blended in. Fox Valley artist J-Council, featuring front-man Jon Wheelock, is on the verge on a very busy second half of 2016 which includes the release of his first record this summer. J-Council will kick off the mid-week summer series.
Music will again be free and start early, offering an early-evening music option for downtown workers and local music fans. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with music beginning at 5:30 p.m. until approximately 7:30 p.m.
Bayland Buildings, Inc. has signed on as the presenting sponsor for the series, which will run each Wednesday for a total of 17 weeks (June 1-September 21).
Concerts in the Courtyard is produced by Mile Productions in collaboration with the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel staff. Promotional and supporting partners are News-Talk 1150 WHBY, 105.7 WAPL, The Post-Crescent and Stone Arch Brew House.
In the event of inclement weather, the show still goes on in The Clubhouse inside the hotel.
