Join Our Mile Community in Helping Music City Rebuild after the Recent Tornado Devastation
Right now, our friends in Nashville/East Nashville need our help. The area was ravaged by a tornado and severe storms in the early hours of March 3, killing up to 24 people and destroying hundreds of buildings and homes.
To collectively express our love and support, Mile of Music has organized a benefit event for Saturday, March 7, and we’re inviting the community to show up and give back to a community that has given our community so much.
Join us for an evening of songs and stories:
What: Mile of Love: Appleton Supports East Nashville
When: Saturday, March 7, from 6-11 p.m.
Where: Gibson Community Music Hall, 211 W. College Avenue, Downtown Appleton
Mile of Music has formed so many special bonds with Nashville-based musicians since the start of the Festival in 2013 and we know local music fans are feeling these connections, too, as we continue to hear from so many of you who want to contribute to the re-building effort. In reaching out to area artists shortly after the news broke of the tornado, several have already jumped at the chance to be a part of this benefit.
Cory Chisel, Mile of Music co-founder and former Nashville resident, is slated to perform, along with:

Donations will be accepted throughout the evening and placed into a temporary account at Fox Communities Credit Union. They will be delivered to designated relief funds by several artists in Nashville who’ve been a part of the Appleton music scene, including Adrian+Meredith, Jamie Kent, Matthew Szlachetka, Andrew Leahey, Sarah Potenza and more.
A portion of bar sales from the benefit will also be donated. We will be collecting donations at the two ticketed Mile events on Friday, March 6, as well: the Gibson show with Kyle Megna & the Monsoons and the Live! at the OuterEdge show with Charlie Parr. Megna has a special connection to Nashville after taking up residence there in one of the neighborhoods that was hit hard by the tornado.
The artist line-up is still being finalized. All local musicians are invited to participate –
