Mile of Music Artist Submission

Artist Submission FAQ:

Q: How long will submissions be open this year? 
A: Submissions will be open from Thursday, November 21- Tuesday, November 26 at 3:00pm.

Q: How will I be notified if I am selected to perform at Mile 12?
A: Artists who are selected to perform at Mile 12 will be contacted via the contact info submitted (email or phone).

Q: Will I be notified if I am not selected to perform at Mile 12?
A: No, you will not be notified if you are not selected to perform at Mile 12.

Q: If I filled out the form on your site between last November and now, do I need to re-submit?
A: Yes, please resubmit! We have your previous submission and will keep it for Mile of Music Presents showcases.

Q: If I have submitted in a previous year, do I need to resubmit?
A: Yes, you will need to resubmit.

Q: If I am a returning artist, how do I submit?
A: If you are a returning artist, scroll to the bottom of the page to fill out the Returning Artist form! (New addition for 2025.)

Q: If I am a returning artist, am I required to submit?
A: No, but we encourage you to do so!

Q: If I am a returning artist performing with a new project, how should I submit?
A: Please submit as a new artist.

Q: When will I hear from The Mile Team?
A: Artists who are selected to perform at Mile 12 will begin to hear from The Mile Team in late winter or early spring.

NEW ARTISTS

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS: Artists, please make note that we will receive several hundred submissions and, based on the reality that we can only include a handful of these new artist submissions in the festival each year, the odds of being selected to play Mile 12 are very long. It has become the hardest part of the job for all of us on The Mile Team (having to say no to so many deserving artists) as the festival has evolved in stature and popularity. Your understanding of this reality is important to us because, as noted, we can only select a very small number.

You will need the following information in order to submit: 

  • Email Address
  • Artist or Band Name
  • One (1) link (YouTube) to a LIVE performance.
  • Link to your Spotify or equivalent streaming platform
  • Link to Electronic Press Kit (EPK) if applicable
  • Acknowledgement that you or your band have at least fifty (50) minutes of 100% original music to perform *
  • Main Booking contact for yourself & your band – First & Last Name
  • Main Booking Contact Phone Number
  • Main Booking Contact Email

We look forward to reviewing your submission. Note: We will only contact you if you are selected to perform at Mile 12.

To be considered: All first-time artists/bands must submit their interest in performing at Mile of Music via the artist submission process and during the allotted time period for consideration. Steps must be followed precisely as noted or the submission form will not be reviewed. Submissions sent via email or social media messages will not be reviewed.

RETURNING ARTISTS

We are excited that you are interested in coming back to Appleton! Please fill out the form below to tell us about your new projects. We will keep your information on file for Mile 12, but also for any upcoming Mile of Music Presents showcases. Note: This is an optional form for returning artists.
