Mile of Music strongly believes that music and the arts are crucial for a vibrant community. That is why there were over 600 FREE concerts at last year’s festival. The economic impact was long-lasting and great, and the response from our musicians was overwhelmingly positive.

At the end of an exhausting festival weekend, (and a full week to catch up on sleep), we read this about the positive impact of our Music Education Immersions and Activities, and jumped back into the office eager to do it all over again for Mile 3 (August 6-9, 2015). We knew from the beginning that Mile of Music would not be possible without a receptive community and dedicated partners, sponsors, artists and volunteers. Truly, YOU made the music happen.

We hope you’ll join us again, to continue creating more opportunities for more art and more music in our community, either as a Music-Maker during the festival or a year-long Music-Maker subscriber. We’ve changed our ticketing plan for Mile 3 because, according to Mile of Music co-founder and artist, Cory Chisel, “We feel as though all of the folks who show up to enjoy the event are VIPs so that no longer felt right. But those who step up to support the festival financially are truly deserving of being music-makers because they, along with the performers and production team, really are making the music happen for everyone to enjoy.”
